Q: What is Maxide Grub Killer?
A: Maxide Grub Killer insecticide provides consumers with an unprecedented degree of control and application flexibility in managing a broad spectrum of grubs and insects on residential lawns and in landscape areas.

Q: What is the active ingredient in Maxide Grub Killer?
A: Thiamethoxam, a new proprietary active ingredient which provides unsurpassed control of grubs in residential lawns and landscape areas.

Q: How does Maxide Grub Killer control grubs?
A: Maxide Grub Killer is based on a unique thianicotinyl insecticide that provides broad-spectrum activity against grubs. It’s unique “dual action” provides for fast results, killing existing grubs quickly (24 hours or less) with systemic activity (rapid plant uptake) providing long lasting control. The active ingredient, thiamethoxam, moves into the soil profile where it binds to soil particles, is available for uptake by plant roots, and is biologically active against soil pests. The active ingredient is upwardly mobile in the plant, so when applied to the soil, it will move into stems and foliage to protect above-ground plant parts. With rapid uptake, knockdown activity, and appropriate half-life, thiamethoxam provides excellent preventive and curative control of soil and foliage pests of turf and landscape plants.

Q: How does Maxide Grub Killer work?
A: Maxide Grub Killer works through ingestion and contact activity by affecting the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors within the insect.

Q: How can Maxide Grub Killer provide such complete control?
A: With rapid knockdown activity, and rapid plant uptake, the active ingredient kills grubs that come into contact with the chemical and kills any remaining grubs left over that begin to feed on the roots…so through direct contact and through ingestion of treated plant material.

Q: What is the mode of action of Maxide Grub Killer?
A: A contact insecticide that has a dual action effect, working to kill both on contact and through ingestion after the ingredient has been absorbed by the plant.

Q: How quickly does Maxide Grub Killer work?
A: Homeowners should see results 24 hours.

Q: How long will Maxide Grub Killer control grubs?
A: One application will kill grubs and keep them out all season long.

Q: What if Maxide Grub Killer doesn't last the full season?
A: We offer a full satisfaction or your money-back guarantee that homeowners will have season long grub control.

Q: What if I have found areas in my yard where the grubs have eaten most of the roots of the grass/turf causing my turf to turn brown and can be removed almost like carpet?
A: These areas can/should be treated with Maxide Grub Killer, but reseeding of these areas may be needed to repair that area (if the turf is completely desiccated (dead)).

Application Questions

Q: How do I apply Maxide Grub Killer?

A: Maxide Grub Killer is effective at labeled rates when applied as a preventive and curative treatment against white grubs.
